Project overview
This residential Lexington project turned the area around a walkway into a cleaner courtyard-style planting space with shrubs, gravel, mulch, and wood-framed garden beds.

PROJECT DETAILS
This residential Lexington project turned the area around a walkway into a cleaner courtyard-style planting space with shrubs, gravel, mulch, and wood-framed garden beds.
The gravel walkway became the centerline of the project, with planting beds and wood-framed garden areas organized around the route to make the space feel intentional.
Rounded shrub planting was used along the walkway and bed edges to add structure, greenery, and a finished frame around the courtyard area.
The clients wanted garden space where they could plant produce, so wood-framed beds were incorporated into the layout instead of only ornamental planting.
The stone wall, open views, gravel path, framed beds, and shrub planting work together to make the area feel like a usable garden courtyard.
Dark mulch, gravel, wood edging, and prepared soil helped define each area clearly while keeping the planting and produce beds easy to understand.
PROJECT PHOTOS
These photos show the active installation work. Final finished photos can be added after the last cleanup and completion shots are ready.

Raised wood-framed beds were placed beside the walkway to give the clients usable garden space for produce.

The planting layout balances ornamental shrubs with practical garden beds and a clear gravel walking path.

Shrub planting and dark mulch create a finished edge along the gravel walkway and garden area.

Rounded shrubs were used to bring structure and year-round green form to the walkway edges.

The finished area gives the clients room to plant produce while keeping the garden connected to the walkway and landscape beds.
